Our Toddler Room at Home Again is where children who are roughly two years old to three years old come to learn, play and grow. Admission is based on developmental milestones and social-emotional maturity rather than calendar age. Toddlers are very curious and working toward gaining independence. We encourage independence but take into consideration that all children develop at different rates and some need more help or time than others. Our approach to learning is based on the Creative Curriculum. We design our learning experiences based on the individual interests and abilities of the children in our room, which we believe makes learning fun. My name is Heather! Welcome to my Toddler class! I am very excited to get to know you and your child. This will be my 9th year working in early childhood education. I have worked at Home Again since April 2018, starting as an assistant teacher and advancing to a Lead. A little about me, I grew up in Indianapolis but moved to Michigan to be close to my husband’s family. I have two beautiful children; Alanna (Ally) who is 9, and William (Jr) who is almost 6. On my free time, I love to read, go on nature walks, and spending time with my family. I look forward to working with you!
